Shift At Midnight Update Tracker: July 2026 Patches
Shift At Midnight updates so far: 6-player lobbies on July 23, and Rakes plus a second purchasable firearm on July 29, 2026.
Post-launch update history
Shift At Midnight launched on July 22, 2026 and was updated twice in its first week. This tracker lists each dated, officially announced change.
July 23, 2026 — 6-player lobbies
One day after launch, an official update opened the ability to create lobbies of up to 6 players.
The developer's own framing matters: the game is still designed for 1–3 players, and larger lobbies are positioned as chaotic fun rather than the intended experience. Treat 6-player as a party option, not the balanced baseline.
July 29, 2026 — Rakes, second firearm, Endless adjustments
The second update, announced through the official Steam channel, added:
- Rakes, a new creature.
- A second purchasable firearm.
- Endless Mode and post-story adjustments.
The same announcement is also the source for the currently official Discord invite, and the developer used it to confirm that a future content update will add more customers.
Exact tuning values in the Endless adjustments are Pending confirmation.
What is officially planned next
Two commitments come from the developer directly:
- More customers in a future content update.
- A major free Endless Mode content update planned for Q4 2026.
Anything beyond those two points — dates, creature additions, new maps — is speculation until announced.
Where updates are announced
The reliable channels are the Steam Community Hub announcements and the official Discord server. The Steam news post history is the dated record this tracker is built from.
